The 4 Annual PGICA Mixed Doubles Tournament was held on Tuesday, April 25. Eight
women and eight men participated and the doubles teams were selected by random draw.
During three hours of intense tennis, each team played four game mini sets against each of
the other teams, for a total of 28 games each. The winners were determined by most games
won. Ann Pert and Don Holway took first place with a total of 22 games. Sally Holway and
Keith Wrigley won 16 games
for second place, with Jane
Olson and Louis Beer taking
third with 15 points. Thanks
to all the participants and the
many spectators for making
this a great event. Thanks to Bob McHue for serving as
the official scorekeeper.
Our mixed doubles play on Saturday mornings is drawing
lots of players. If you are not getting enough tennis during
the week, come on out and join the group. Play runs from
9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and follows a round robin format.
No reservations required, just show up to play.
Scheduling reminder: Our courts are now on the Summer
Schedule for dedicated time. Don’t forget to use our
online scheduling website to reserve the ball machine and
court time during non-dedicated time periods.

Case 1:
When the ball is in play, another
