After Santa stopped by to see us at our
December meeting, many of us had dreams of a
new RV for Christmas. However, we didn't find
keys to a new RV under our trees, so we are off
to the Tampa RV Show in January to enjoy
some serious looking and dreaming.

The 33rd annual Florida RV SuperShow is at the
Tampa Fairgrounds January 17 to 21. It is
known as the greatest RV show in the country.
The show features over 1,500 RVs on display,
from small travel trailers to bus conversion
luxury motorhomes. Two large exhibit halls are filled with booths displaying the
latest innovative RV products and accessories. Other booths offer tourism
information including campgrounds and resorts. Trams are available to help you
get around the 26 acres of
displays. In 2017, over
70,000 people attended the
show.

Some of the Road Runners
will be camping at the fairgrounds or at a nearby campground
during the show. Others will make a day trip to Tampa to see the
show. Occasionally a Road Runner has returned from the show
with a new RV. We'll have to see if anyone gets a new rig this year.

Instead of
our regular
January
meeting,
the Road
Runners
will be celebrating with our After Christmas Christmas party at
the Civic Association on January 11. On January 24, the Road
Runner ladies will enjoy lunch in the Tea Room at the Cultural
Center of Charlotte County in Port Charlotte. Watch for pictures
of these fun events in future articles.
