                                                Happy New Year

As the PGI Neighborhood Marine Watch Program looks back to its inception in 2009, and with 2018 just ahead, it is a
good time to thank the many who have supported the program: Beginning with past and present volunteer members of
the Marine Watch, who rise in the night, go on patrol, using their own boats and resources who have not only been
supporters, but, in fact are the true foundation of the PGI Neighborhood Marine Watch program.

Next is the 8 PGICA Board of Directors. The support of the PGICA is especially recognized.

Then there is the Punta Gorda Police Department who early on endorsed the “On-The-Water” night surveillance concept
performed by volunteers, and stepping up when asked to provide signage that alerted boaters that the PGI canals were
patrolled 24/7, each sign placed at the entrance of the ten inlets leading into the PGI canal system.

And to the City of Punta Gorda who recognized the PGI Neighborhood Marine Watch program by issuing a City
Proclamation, proclaiming “PGI Neighborhood Marine Watch Day” throughout the city in 2012, and again in 2017.

Last, but not the least, was the support and coordination of night patrols with the Marine Units of the Charlotte County
Sheriff’s Office, Florida Wildlife (FWC) and the PGPD Marine Officer.

It is with the deepest conviction that the PGI Neighborhood Marine Watch leaders and members thank all those who
have been part of the program success.
                                                     WELL DONE TO ALL
