PGICA NEW MEMBER RECEPTION
The latest New Member Reception was held on Wednesday, July 26 and was well attended. Special thanks to Cindy
Morrell, PGICA Membership Director, and Debby Carey, PGICA President. Welcome to all our newest PGICA members.
PGICA will host the next New Member Reception Wednesday, October 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.
PGI PADDLERS pgipaddlers@yahoo.com
Fall is in the air. The “snowbirds” are migrating south. PGI Paddlers are back to their active season, which includes two
“member-led” paddles and one “impromptu” paddle each month. So if you have been thinking about adding kayaking to
your activities, there is no better PGICA club to join than the Paddlers.
We have no dues & no officers. View the club’s website pgikayakers.org for details on
joining. Just email your name, email address and phone number to
pgipaddlers@yahoo.com. You will be added to the club email broadcast list. The
Paddlers gather on the first Monday of each month, 5 to 7 p.m., for socializing and
sharing information on upcoming events. Join us at Scotty’s Brew Pub at Fishermen’s
Village. We will be out in the atrium.
This season’s activities will include Fisheating Creek, Webb Lake, Shell Creek, Coral
Creek, Wolverton Trails, Ponce Tunnels. Manatee Park, and wherever someone’s
fancy takes us. The Paddlers also take part in Canal Cleanup, the Freedom Swim and
trail maintenance. We hope to plan a “lighted kayak” moonlight paddle this spring.

summer months, we are out on the water.
