MARINERS OF PGI Susan Hills, Vice Commodore, 941-286-3452, vicecommodore@marinersofpgi.org
Have you
ever
wondered
if you will
be able to
take your
boat out
between summer thunderstorms?
Well, the Mariners were able to do
just that. Cancelled cruises rarely
happen because it’s not “boatable.”
We still often meet at these
destinations by ‘land yacht.’ We have
been busy the last couple of months
doing just that. We have had cruises
to Fishermen’s Village Marina and an
Anchor Out on July 4. This was a Village Fish Market Dinner
‘party hearty’ watching the swimmers
crossing the harbor, with a beautiful
sunset and fireworks at the end of
the day.
In addition, we have had a Cayo
Costa five-night cruise; a Laishley
Crab House Dinner Cruise, a Tiki
Hut Lunch, a three-night Pink Shell
Marina and Resort, a Cabbage
Key Lunch, an Elks Lunch and the
Last Sunday of the Month cruises.
While our social calendar is a little
less crowded during the summer
months, we always have our
monthly Breakfast (or Brunch) with
the Gals, and at least one or two
4th of July Raft-up other activities.
If you are looking for a friendly and
active boating group, we invite you
to stop by and visit with us. Our
weekly Happy Hour get-togethers
are held at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday
evenings, at the Village Fish
Market in Fishermen’s Village. You
can also check us out on our
