JFF ~ JUST FOR FUN John Bothwell, President, drbothwell@gmail.com

The JFF Club certainly enjoys traveling together. We recently returned from an adventurous journey to
the Winter Olympics. They were held right here in PGI, despite a lack of ice and snow. We participated
in the running of the Olympic torch, the parade of athletes from many nations, and fierce competition
for the many medals. We applauded the top athletes in Curling, Alpine Skiing, Speed Skating, Ice
Hockey and Ski Jump. We also enjoyed an international buffet before the awards ceremony. So much
                         fun was had by all!

On Thursday, March 21 there will be a “Luck of the Irish Party”
at 5:30 p.m. at PGICA. Please join us for a fun evening full of
the Luck of the Irish and everything green. There is so much
planned including Irish food and music, bingo, 50/50, potato
peeling and a limerick contest, pass the cabbage and kissing
the Blarney Stone! We'll even have green food coloring if you
bring the beer! Please see the calendar for details. Sign up on
the JFF calendar by March 18.

You probably know that the Masters
Tournament is one of the four major
tournaments in professional golf and that
it is held in annually the first full week of April. What you probably don't know is
that this year the Mini-Masters is being held at the Shell Factory Miniature Golf
Course in North Fort Myers and that in order to compete you need to be a
member of JFF! Please join us for miniature golf like you have never seen it
before! The tournament will be followed by dinner in the Shell Factory party room
which is also where the awards ceremony will take place. There is optional music
and dancing after dinner. Please sign up on the website by March 25 and refer to
the email and website for details and fees.

Signup is required for our next TGIF Happy Hour
which will be held on Friday, April 6 at the lovely
waterfront home of a gracious JFF couple. There is
a limit of how many can be accommodated.
Please see the JFF Express or the events calendar
for additional information. What a great way to start
the weekend with a beverage or two while chatting
                                           with your JFF friends.

On Monday, April 9, our fun-loving ladies will be gathering for our monthly Girl’s Game
Night. This is a nice evening of various games, plus snacks and lots of laughter. Hurry to

lots of folks attending this social mixer that includes complimentary appetizers. Prospective
members are encouraged to join us. We will also be introducing our new members.

The JFF Men's lunch will be at The Smoke N Pit on Kings Highway, Tuesday, April 17 at noon. Sign up is not necessary
so just show up at noon with a hearty appetite for a good meal with the guys.

JFF Ladies Lunch will be Tuesday, April 17. Please check the calendar and the Flamingo Express for location and time.

Many of us are in agreement that cruising as a group is a great way to travel. Almost 70 of us enjoyed the seven-night
Caribbean cruise in January. There has been so much excitement and interest in cruising with fellow JFF’ers that we
have planned the next one and there are already over 100 signed up. The cruise line changed the date so now we will
set sail on January 14, 2019 from Fort Lauderdale on a five-night cruise aboard the Celebrity Infinity with visits to
Cozumel and Key West. We will return to Fort Lauderdale on January 19. Celebrity is giving us some extra perks due to
the change in dates but only for a very limited time. Contact our own Cruise Director Deb Sulla at dasisme2@yahoo.com
         for more information.

Dine Around details for April are pending. Watch for an email blast and information on our calendar. In addition, another
good source of club activity information are the Flamingo Express emails which are sent to our members.

Host & Toast is a monthly JFF activity and is scheduled for Sunday, April 29. It is a lovely way to spend an evening with
         www.pgica.org 46
