SEAFARERS CRUISING CLUB Peter Fucini, Commodore, peterfucini@aol.com, www.pgiseafarers.org

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of the closing of the PGI Seafarers boating club.
We have lost so many members and exhausted all of the activities that are available to us. The
restaurants, marinas and businesses have had enough and we are no longer welcome. That’s
it. We are closing our books.

April fools. Gotcha! Boy I cannot wait to read the emails I am going to get on this one. Oh
well life is too short. Happy Easter to everyone. I don’t know about you but I didn’t know Easter and April Fools ever fell
on the same day. This month proves it.

Well where do I start? Our cruises have had good responses. The Burnt Store/Cass Cay lunch cruise was full - both
boats and members attending were filled to capacity. The weather creeped in on us and made it difficult to boat and visit
watery locations. It is still better than our northern brothers.

We had the first ever ladies lunch at the Isles Yacht Club here in PGI. There
may be more in the future if things work out and more are interested. Terry
Miller and Kay Abbs did a wonderful job in putting this together. Please thank
         them for all of us.

We did Bob Marley proud. In our dreams. It was yet another break from the
boring and mundane after meeting dinner, brought to you by the one and only
Mike Slattery. Mike our social director, with the help of Kay Abbs, Kerry
Foscardo, Betty Burns and many more that I saw, worked hard to decorate
the ceiling with streamers, balloons and wall art. Good job. We danced the
night away to wonderful sounds and slept well thereafter. I know I did.

With the addition of a few new members we are looking to spread the word.
These are just a few examples of the joy and surprises we look forward to.
Please come and join us. We look forward to seeing you.

I hope that at the PGICA new
                                                  members meeting we got your
                                                  attention and you would come
to our next meeting or the
5 p.m. happy hour social at St.
                                                  Andrews Golf Club on the
                                                  second and the last Thursday
                                                  of the month. Our meetings
are on the last Tuesday of the month at the PGICA building at 5:30 p.m.
Please come see what we are all about. Meet our members, find out
where we are going next and see if there is room on one of our boats for
a lunch cruise. I am sure one of us would be glad to offer the ride. I look
forward to meeting you all. Good luck and happy boating.
