Summer is the quiet time for the PGI Paddlers. Though the snowbirds have flown north, it does not mean the Paddlers
are not out on the water.
The Paddlers gather on dry land the first Monday of each month, July 2 and August 7, at Scotty’s Brew House in
Fisherman’s Village, from 5-7p.m. to plan future paddles. During the summer months the club moves its ‘social’ indoors.
It is hot and rainy in Punta Gorda in the summer. Our members are happy to share their knowledge of the sport with
anyone who will listen. So feel free to join us.
PGI Paddlers broadcast all future events via email. Add

The Paddlers will be participating in the Freedom Swim,
across the Peace River, on July 4 escorting the swimmers
as they cross the river from Punta Gorda to Port Charlotte
and back. As final details for this event are confirmed, an
email will be broadcasted.
If you were not out on the water with the PGI Paddlers you
missed paddling with the manatees, encountering gators in
their natural habitat, the serene peace of Shell Creek, and
the beauty of Don Pedro Island.
