PGICA ANNUAL MEETING IN REVIEW

This is a brief summation. The actual minutes will be posted on the website soon.

The Board hosted about 175 people for dinner.

Debby Carey, President, informed those present of the State of the Association.

Marlene Hofer, Past President, and member of the Recognition Committee, presented recognition certificates to Bob
and Struss Shirk, Craig Esterly, and Carol Rose accepted the award for Ray Rose. This award is given to residents of
Punta Gorda Isles that have made a difference outside the area of PGI. The list of achievements of these four people
should make us proud to have them as members of our community. They will also have a brick placed in the garden
by the pavilion, along with the others that have been recognized for making a difference.

The budget was presented by our Treasurer Ron Olsen and approved. Copies of the budget are available in the office.
We are in sound financial shape.

The PGICA Bylaws were approved. All were approved unanimously, except the issue on membership eligibility, but
          after discussion, it carried overwhelmingly.

The nominations put forth by the nominations committee were elected by acclimation. Retiring board members, Bill
Albers, John Dauster and Randy Hall were awarded recognition plaques for years of service to the board.

Aaron Wagner presented a thank you gift to member Dan Carey, who spent the summer creating a database for the
Association to use for record keeping.

The highlight of the evening was the dedication of the east wing. It will now be called the Ray Rose Wing. Bill Albers
gave a moving tribute to Ray, and Carol unveiled the plaque. Stop by and see it.

          The meeting adjourned.
